The RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) is a Government-backed financial support scheme targeted at, but not limited to ‘Off Gas-grid’ households. The scheme will pay owners of Renewable Heating systems a set rate per unit of Renewable Energy produced, for seven years.
The RHI will support;
The current confirmed tariffs are:

These tariffs will be paid for 7 years, provided that certain criteria are met.
The scheme is predominantly aimed at, but not limited to, the houses that are not connected to the Gas Grid.
The scheme is open to the following groups;
Owners of systems installed on, or before 15th July 2009 will be eligible for the RHI. These are known as ‘Legacy Applicants’. Further information on Legacy Applications will be made available prior to the formal introduction of the RHI.
